About searchmemes.in

searchmemes.in is a search engine for Tamil meme templates – the blank movie stills, reaction shots and viral video frames that Tamil memes are built on. It started in Chennai as a side project to answer one question every meme creator asks daily: "where is that one frame?"

What we do

Each template on the site is reviewed and tagged by hand with the dialogue it is known for, the people in it, the film or show it comes from, and the emotion it expresses. That lets you find a template by typing what you remember – a line in Tanglish, an actor, a movie, a situation or an emoji – instead of scrolling through folders of screenshots.

Where the templates come from

Templates are frames taken from Tamil films, television, advertisements, interviews and public social media videos, collected by our team and contributed by users. They are shared so people can make light-hearted, non-commercial memes. All films, characters and footage belong to their respective owners.

Content guidelines

Templates that promote hate against a community or target private individuals are not accepted. Templates with adult humour or strong language are kept off the home page and out of search engine listings. If you see something that shouldn't be here, please let us know.

Copyright and removal requests

If you own the rights to an image on searchmemes.in and want it removed, email [email protected] with the page link and proof of ownership. We review every request and remove the image promptly.
